Latin American Press Review Radio Collection

As part of the Latin American Programs of the Longhorn Radio Network, the Latin American Press Review radio program covered all of Latin America and the Caribbean, airing from 1973 to 1974. Originally processed in 2010, digital reformatting of analog reel-to-reel audiotapes is ongoing. The annotations cover the programs released between 1973 to 1974. The highlighted annotations are the countries and communities that stood out throughout the segments included within these programs.

Shoes (1916)

This project annotates Lois Weber’s 1916 silent film Shoes. The film’s story follows a working-class young woman as she comes to class consciousness. It revolves around the woman’s need to purchase a pair of shoes from the department store in which she works, as she supports her family.

The Evolution of Lorde

This project contains audio and video materials related to the evolution of Lorde as an artist and individual. It examines how she utilizes sound and visuals to convey recurring themes throughout her discography, as well as how elements of her personal life influence her artistic narrative.
